Our apprentice Harmony Court has taken out the top prize at the Master Electrician’s Challenge; the electrical industry’s toughest contest for trainees. Her victory makes history in NZ, as Harmony is the first female winner of the Challenge. She won in the Domestic/Commercial division of the competition following an extensive practical examination held over 3 days.
We employed Harmony through training provider The Electrical Training Company and it was clear early on that she would become a valued part of our team. As many of our customers know, Harmony has an outstanding attitude towards her work and has dedicated herself to the training we provide her.
Harmony says she hopes her victory will encourage more women to enter the industry. She’s a great example of the value of bringing more women into the trades. Women bring a whole different dynamic to the workplace.
Like Harmony, we hope to see more women in the next few years becoming electrical apprentices. We are very proud of her and looking forward to her creating an even brighter future with us.
